Yes! We Care
2009
Yes We Care 2009 was a great success once again with hundreds of home helped by volunteers across the greater Brisbane region from many churches getting involved in giving needy people a hand in backyard clean ups, weeding, window cleaning etc.
The event was backed by "Prayer Towers" strategically located around the city.
It is a priviledge to have the endorsement of the Lord Mayor of Brisbane, Campbell Newman and we look forward to his continued support for 2010.
2010
We are already beginning to plan for Yes We Care 2010! We are working to make 2010 bigger and better. Some of our plans include:
Prior to February 2010
- Fostering the support of Lord Mayors in Ipswich, Redland, Logan and Morton Bay Councils*.
- We are looking for Regional Coordinators to coopt Zone and Church Coordinators in:
- The Redlands Council Region
- Logan Council Region
- Pine Rivers/Morton Bay Council Region*
- Current Regional Coordinators continue to:
- Work with churches who have been involved to get ready for 2010.
- Work with existing Zone Coordinators to prepare for 2010
- Coopt new Zone Coordinators for better coverage in their regions
Churches
We encourage churches to include Yes We Care 2010 in their diaries when planning their 2010 programme. Read the information on this website and look at the job descriptions for church coordinators and team leaders. Official resources will be available from Feburary 2010.
Official church registrations will be received via this website from February 2010.

If you have a business or would like to support the work of Yes We Care call 07 3378 3595 for more information. While most of our workers are volunteers, there are expenses and financial assisance would help us. Some expenses are:
- Administration including stationery, printing, telephone.
- Promotional material including video.
- Website costs
- While we currently pay no wages, there are some people who spend a lot of time working on preparation of the Yes We Care event.
Regional Coordinators
We would like to expand into the regions of Logan, Ipswich, Redlands and the Pine Rivers/Morton Bay Council area. To do this we need Regional Coordinators to facilitate this. If you would like to get involved on this level read the job description and call 07 3378 3595.
Launch 2010
The Yes We Care programme for 2010 will be launched in February and all the resources and website information will be updated and registrations will begin.
